While temperatures in Nebraska reached record-breaking lows in early January, 14 ���߲ݴ�ý University students experienced a different kind of extreme. Their plane touched down in Sydney, Australia, as temperatures there soared into the hundreds.

Playwriting has always been a passion for senior theatre major Megan Ghorashy. Her talents were recognized at the Region V Festival where she was awarded first place for her one-act play, “Final Moments.”

���߲ݴ�ý University has announced its Academic Honors List for the fall semester of the 2013-2014 academic year.

A student must have a minimum grade point average of 3.75 (on a 4.00 scale) for 12 or more hours of coursework to qualify for the list.

���߲ݴ�ý University’s next Elder Gallery exhibit highlights the work of three multi-media artists whose work focuses on common objects.

When Professor Meghan Winchell’s African American History class switched from three credit hours to four, she didn’t add more reading assignments.

“It created an opportunity to incorporate a service learning project into my class,” said Winchell. “I wanted to go to four credits for this purpose.”

The artistic talents of high school students will be showcased at ���߲ݴ�ý’s fifth annual juried art exhibition “Bridge.”

���߲ݴ�ý’s Department of Art will host Bridge January 21-February 2. High school seniors were invited to submit artwork to be considered for the exhibition. Forty-three students were selected for the exhibit.
