The Career Center is hosting its biggest event of the year, Backpack to Briefcase, on Thursday, February 22 from 3-5 p.m. in the Great Hall of Smith-Curtis. More than 40 employers will attend with the goal of hiring º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ students for internships and full-time positions. Some employers also have part-time jobs available.

It’s a leap year, and º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½â€™s Office of Diversity and Inclusion is jumping straight into a full calendar of events and programming. It’s all part of our effort to build a welcoming campus culture through respect, belonging, community and growth.

When Associate Professor of Psychology Rachel Hayes thought about her own motivation and resilience as a student, she spotted a pattern that looked a lot like gameplay. There were challenges that came in increasingly difficult stages—with satisfying rewards and discoveries that motivated her to keep going throughout.
