A ߲ݴý University first-year student has been selected for the Fulbright Summer Institute. Danielle Anderson of Ewing, Neb., is among 60 undergraduates from the United States and UK to be selected for the prestigious program.
Liana Sandin (’81) fondly remembers the many hours she spent on the O’Donnell Auditorium stage.
“I was in a lot of things,” Sandin recalled of her involvement in choirs, operas and even serving as an usher at other events hosted in the auditorium. “O’Donnell means performance to me.”
Amy Spears staged a mock school board hearing for her secondary music students to help them better understand issues they could face as music educators regarding music program funding.
A ߲ݴý University professor, vice president and student have each been honored as Advocates for Diversity.
Sue Wortmann, associate professor of sociology, TJ McDowell, vice president for campus community, and Malik Morris, a senior psychology major, were each recognized during the university’s Martin Luther King celebration on January 19.
“The moment I walked into my first Chinese class, I knew that it was a language I wanted to stick with,” recalled ߲ݴý University sophomore Terri Seier.
A ߲ݴý University English professor and Coordinator of Services for Students with Disabilities has been recognized by her peers for generously devoting time and energy to mentoring faculty.
Geller will get that chance to study and learn on the other side of the world thanks to a Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship that will send her to New Zealand for the spring semester.
