Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity

Phi Kappa Tau was founded in 1906 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. It has initiated more than 100,000 members during its existence. Currently, it has 80 active chapters, 10 emerging colonies, and more than 4,300 student members nationwide. The fraternity sponsors annual Leadership Academy and Presidents Academy training, as well as regional conferences and national assemblies. Phi Kappa Tau’s national philanthropy is the SeriousFun Children’s Network, an international organization that provides free camping experiences to children with terminal or life-threatening illnesses. Locally, the chapter also supports other charitable causes and community service projects. Nationwide, the Phi Kappa Tau Foundation awards more than $30,000 annually in scholarships to members, based on academic performance, community service, and fraternity involvement.

The Upsilon Chapter of Phi Kappa Tau was established at º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ in 1923.The chapter has produced five national presidents, and has received the Roland Maxwell Outstanding Chapter Trophy a record seven times. Traditional strengths include academic achievement, community service, and campus engagement. The chapter house was constructed in 1928, expanded in 1971, and fully restored in 2012. It is currently on the National Register of Historic Places.
