Acceptance for Clinical Teaching Practice Placement Conclusion of Clinical Teaching Practice Graduation/Certification

  • Complete EDUC courses (EDUC, 1010, 2050, 2060, 2850, and SPED 2070)
  • Meet required assessments as presented in classes
  • Establish and maintain GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Pass PRAXIS CORE Basic Skills (reading, math, and writing)
  • Complete TEP application
  • Complete TEP interview and dispositions survey
  • Provide evidence of any criminal conviction that would prevent teacher certification
  • Academic Analysis Review Check by education advisor
  • Academic Analysis Check for minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Lesson Plan assessed by NDE formative assessment tool
  • Field Experience logs and evaluations meets 100 minimum log hours
  • Provide evidence of any criminal conviction that would prevent teacher certification
  • Attend student teaching meeting a minimum of 1 semester prior to placement
  • Registration of 7-14 credit hours of clinical practice teaching
  • Registration in student teaching seminar
  • Education Philosophy paper
  • Resume and cover letter
  • º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ Self-Dispositions
  • Lesson Plan assessed by NDE formative assessment tool
  • Minimum of 16 weeks of student teaching in gradual release to full classroom teaching. Hours may be split between two placements
  • Successful Evaluations of Clinical Teaching Practice by Cooperating Teacher
  • Meets all graduation requirements for degree and teacher certification
  • Graduation/Degree Review received by Certification Officer/Registrar
  • Passing scores on PRAXIS II
  • Certification Application
  • Institutional Verification sent by Certification Officer
  • First and Third Year Evaluations reviewed by Education Department
  • Education Department Assessment retreat
