Tami Thompson, assistant professor of business, has been named the new program director for º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program.

Thompson has taught at º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ since 2003 when she started as an adjunct instructor in the undergraduate business program for adults. She has taught in the MBA Program since its start in 2014, and most recently served as the Business Program Director for the university’s adult undergraduate programs.

On July 1 Thompson retired from the Nebraska Air National Guard where she was a colonel and Mission Support Group Commander with approximately 400 people reporting to her. She has received numerous awards and decorations during her 28 years in the military.

Prior to teaching at º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½, she taught for two years at the University of West Bohemia in the Czech Republic. During that time she was selected to teach an educational business course for students from across the world in the Summer Language School in the Czech Republic. 

º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½â€™s MBA program includes specialized tracks in classic (traditional MBA), leadership, innovation and social entrepreneurship, health care management, accounting, nonprofit, and design your own. The program offers weekly evening classes in eight-week sessions.
