Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach
º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University (º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½) is seeking qualified candidates for a 10-month position working 40 hours per week to work as the Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach. As the Assistant Coach, the incumbent will assist with the development and administration of º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½â€™s competitive varsity women’s volleyball program including all facets of the sport within the philosophy and policies of the university, conference, and national affiliates.
º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University competes at the NCAA Division III level and is a member of the American Rivers Conference. The selected candidate will report to the Head Women’s Volleyball Coach and also be required to perform a secondary job duty at the discretion of the university and within the skill set of the qualified applicant.

- Build and provide individualized development plans for student-athletes which foster growth athletically, academically, and socially.
- Assist with scheduled practices and games for spring and fall season teaching student athlete’s elements for the sport.
- Assist with athletic events for volleyball while also organizing and supervising travel.
- Assist and maintain records of all expenditures.
- Actively recruit student athletes for the volleyball program: attend recruiting events, recruit evaluation, emails/mailings/phone calls, on campus visits. Provide recruiting reports for both the Head Coach and Admissions Office.
- Work with the Head Athletic Trainer regarding the health of volleyball members.
- Monitor academic progress of student athletes.
- Assist in the coordination of all fundraising activities for the volleyball program.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Related experience coaching men’s or women’s volleyball at the college, high school or elite level clubs.
- Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of coaching student-athletes and a commitment to the highest ideals of leadership, sportsmanship and academics.
- Ability to coach and recruit highly skilled student-athletes.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and success in working with a variety of persons that will build strong, long-term relationships with team members, students and stakeholders.
- Must be able to multitask and manage several projects that may be ongoing during the same time.
- Have exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to produce complete and accurate work and manage production activities.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, time management, and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Be able to work with minimum supervision and handle pressure situations.
Be flexible, able to prioritize tasks and meet scheduled and unscheduled deadlines.
