Spring semester may be over but many students and faculty are packing their bags for summer academic courses that will take them far beyond the classroom walls.

º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University student Ginny Koch came to school with hopes of one day becoming a physician’s assistant.

But her career goal quickly changed after meeting several foreign exchange students who were also studying at º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½. She soon realized that she shared their passion for travel and culture, which led her to declare majors in international business and German.

º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University junior Shannon Wietjes has a passion for agriculture.

She wants people to know milk comes from a cow, not a jug; that the loaf of bread on the kitchen counter is the result of a wheat farmer’s hard work; that the United States’ food supply is comparatively inexpensive.
