º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ Wireless Network Access
º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ currently provides two wireless networks for use by our faculty, staff and students. These two networks - advertised at "eduroam" and "nwu-wifi" - each require active º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ account credentials for any device attempting to join the networks; credentials vary slightly (see below) depending upon the network. The two wireless networks generally provide equivalent Internet access for devices on the º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ campus network.
"eduroam" is the preferred wireless network for all faculty, staff and student use. Eduroam is a consortium of educational and research institutions which cooperates to provide their authorized account holders with secure, direct, authenticated access to wireless Internet service across all participating institutions. Your º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ account provides you with direct access to wireless Internet service at other member institutions without the need to request guest access. Similarly, authorized account holders from other Eduroam member institutions can use their home institution credentials to access the º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ "eduroam" wireless network.
In order to make this roaming wireless Internet access work, the º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ "eduroam" wireless network requires your full º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ email address for joining the network. Instructions for joining devices to the º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ "eduroam" wireless network are available in the CSIT knowledge base at
The "nwu-wifi" wireless network continues to provide faculty, staff and students with Internet connectivity, but is being phased out of service beginning in the Spring Semester of 2025. This wireless network also requires active º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ account credentials for any device attempting to join the network. Unlike the "eduroam" network, however, authentication to the "nwu-wifi" network requires your º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ account username (as opposed to your full email address).
º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ no longer provides an unauthenticated wireless network for visitors.
