An upcoming fundraiser will help assist an º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ staff accompanist and her family who are dealing with multiple health problems.

The 15th Annual East Campus Bull Fry Fundraiser will aid Mollie Manner and her daughters, Becca and Natalie.

Mollie is a staff accompanist in º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½'s Music Department. She is in need of hip surgery. In addition, her daughter, Becca, suffers from a rare liver disease called primary sclerosing cholangitis that includes cirrhosis and liver failure. Becca is 23-years-old and is awaiting her third liver transplant. Mollie's 19-year-old daughter, Natalie, will soon need a hip replacement because of a hereditary degenerative bone problem.

Each year for the past 15 years, a residence hall at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's East Campus has held a fundraiser for a local person with health problems. The Manner's were selected as this year's beneficiary.

The fundraiser will be held Saturday, April 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. on UNL's East Campus on the green space located between Fedde and Burr halls. In case of inclement weather, the event will move to the Animal Science Arena. Cost is $7 for food, $5 for games or $10 for both. Donations can also be sent to: Bull Fry, 1701 N. 35th Street, Lincoln, Neb. 68503.
