Jeremiah Ourada, chief information officer, has been recognized with ߲ݴý University’s CORE Award, which celebrates staff whose efforts and contributions significantly exceed expectations in demonstrating ߲ݴý’s core values.

He was recognized for his contributions both within the CSIT Department and beyond:

  • Improving University IT policies, software and hardware efficiencies, and network security;
  • Implementing Softdocs, which moved the University from three different software applications into one, fully reducing paper forms and providing a paperless storage database;
  • Providing innovative solutions and proactive approaches to significantly improve efficiencies and user satisfaction;
  • Mentoring of WITS and IT team members
  • Leading and navigating the campus through difficult IT challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations;
  • Organizing a consortium of higher education institutions across Nebraska and Kansas to negotiate and purchase software contracts, reducing costs for all institutions in the consortium.

“Jeremiah embodies the core values of ߲ݴý,” said his nominator. “He is highly deserving of the award, and I am confident that his continued contributions will have a lasting positive impact here.”
