º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University's Cooper Center for Academic Achievement has received a $51,600 grant that will provide for extended hours, additional staffing, and new instruction.

The Cooper Center Foundation of Lincoln honored former trustee and º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University president John W. White with a grant in his memory. White died on April 18.

The grant will be used to increase the impact of the University's Cooper Center through increased staffing and hours and implementation of the Supplemental Instruction Model.

The Cooper Center is staffed by faculty and trained student consultants with the goal of helping all students refine their writing, speaking, study, computer and foreign language skills.

The Cooper Center was started in 1997 and is housed in the Cochrane-Woods Library.
