The former editor of The Nation, the oldest weekly magazine devoted to politics and culture, will speak at ߲ݴý University on Thursday, April 12.
JoAnn Wypijewski, an independent journalist and columnist for Mother Jones magazine will deliver the lecture, “Sex, Shame and High Time for Real Politics for Life.” The lecture begins at 1 p.m. in Olin B Lecture Hall.
For 18 years, Wypijewski was the editor of The Nation magazine. She has written for that magazine as well as for Harper’s, CounterPunch, and The New York Times Magazine. She is the editor of several books including, “Painting by Numbers: Komar and Melamid’s Scientific Guide to Art,” and “The Thirty Years Wars: Dispatches and Diversions of a Radical Journalist, 1965-1994.”
