Students in a seminar on external ballistics sweated through a particularly warm morning on the shooting range at the Izaak Walton shooting facility. They each shot several different weapons through a chronograph to measure velocity and into ballistic gel to look at trajectory. A few rounds did hit the chronograph, rather than go through it, and the table holding the ballistic gel also ended up the worse for wear. But the students were able to take the data they gathered in the morning and analyze it in the much cooler classroom in the afternoon.
